Location and characteristics of the soil: South of Missian, the sunny slopes are the product of late-glacial sedimentation, especially high clay content of the soil

Fermentation: Fermentation on skins in stainless steel: following organic acid reduction, it is matured in large and small wooden barrels

Targeted selection in our vineyards over the course of years have now produced convincing results. The Pinot Nero of the St. Valentin line has been especially successful. A radiant garnet red, it impresses with its tempting aromas: small berries with crisp cherries, fresh violets, a breath of marzipan. This Pinot Nero opens up with a multifaceted lasting quality. A fine wine for lamb dishes, beef, wild fowl, and cheese, it has an excellent potential for aging.
